If your car has lane keeping or automatic braking, replacing the windshield moves the camera that runs them. Skipping the recalibration leaves safety systems quietly pointing in the wrong place.
We check whether a repair will do before quoting a replacement, and we never ask you to sign over your insurance benefits.

Two things worth knowing. Assignment of benefits in Florida auto glass has been genuinely abused — shops offering gift cards to sign claims over, then suing insurers. We do not solicit or accept an assignment, and we offer no inducement, rebate or deductible waiver for a claim. And recalibration is not optional: if your vehicle has a camera behind the windshield, replacing the glass without recalibrating leaves safety systems working from the wrong reference.
It is common in Florida and you should walk away. Those offers go with signing over your insurance benefits, and the practice has caused real harm. We offer no inducements and take no assignment.
If your car has lane keeping, automatic emergency braking or adaptive cruise control, almost certainly yes. The camera that runs them sits on the windshield, and moving it without recalibration leaves those systems inaccurate.
Often, if it is caught early and is not in your line of sight. Repair keeps the factory glass and the original calibration, so we check that first — it is cheaper for you and better for the car.
We give you the safe drive-away time in writing for the adhesive used. It is a safety figure, not a guideline — the bond has to cure before the glass can do its job in a crash.
Not necessarily, and you should know which you are getting. On vehicles with camera systems, OEM or OEM-equivalent glass is often the safer choice for recalibration, and we will say when that applies.
Usually, if it is dry and there is level, sheltered space. Adhesive has temperature and humidity limits, and we will reschedule rather than bond glass in the rain.
